Vlad Plăcintă, the president of the "Save a Heart" Association, was awarded on Tuesday evening at the 8th edition of the National Gala of Excellence in Social Assistance. He was nominated by the Botoșani Territorial Structure of the National College of Social Workers in Romania (CNASR) in the category of personalities who have excelled in supporting the social work profession in the period 2020-2021.

The event was hosted by Andreea Marin. "The joy was even greater because I met people dedicated to helping vulnerable individuals in their community, people who give their time and effort to those in need. Each winner's presentation filled my heart with joy, seeing the beautiful people we have in our country, many of whom are unknown to others. Many of these people work quietly with love and responsibility to provide support to those who seek their help in overcoming the obstacles they face. Thank you very much for the trust placed in the Botoșani Territorial Structure of the National College of Social Workers in Romania," said Vlad Plăcintă.

Millions of euros raised over the years

With approximately 10 years of experience in the field of projects carried out through the "Save a Heart" Association, Vlad Plăcintă has managed to raise over 14 million euros through projects and donations, using these funds to provide services that have positively impacted the lives and extreme needs of hundreds of children and adults at risk.

According to representatives of the Botoșani Territorial Structure of CNASR, during the pandemic, Vlad Plăcintă provided services and specific equipment for protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection. He also got involved in the activity of Casa Nicolae, in the village of Rădeni - Frumuşica, where over 15 homeless people found a home. He also plays an important role in the construction of a shelter for orphaned children.

"For us, Mr. Vlad Dumitru Plăcintă is and will always be a fighter who has shown that he holds the key to success when it comes to being effective in the fight to help fellow human beings in critical situations of extreme needs and hardships.

We thank Mr. Vlad Dumitru Plăcintă for his entire activity and for accepting the nomination to represent Botoșani County at the 8th edition of the National Gala of Excellence in Social Assistance," the representatives of the Botoșani structure of CNASR further stated.

The president of the "Save a Heart" Association is an Honorary Citizen of Botoșani Municipality and an Honorary Citizen of Frumuşica Commune.
