Therapy treatment: Therapy costs (coordinator, 3 therapists, psychologist, swimming, therapy materials + drugs) = 5,000 lei per month.
Mihnea is 6 years old and was diagnosed with autism 4 years ago. Since then he does 6 hours of therapy every day, goes to kindergarten three days a week, to swimming classes, climbing, social group and does not cease to be ... Wonderful! Years of therapy are still waiting for us, but we are confident in Mihnea's success.
It's true that it's different from other kids, but this "other" is full of challenges for all of us. He taught us to be a close-knit family and to love each other more. He taught us how much true friendships mean and how beautiful, hopeful words give us wings.
Mihni evolved at his own pace, easy but sure. Each step forward meant many hours of therapy, enormous patience and perseverance. But also "Oooooooo, Mihnea!" for every success. He learned to have more and more requests, builds two or three-word sentences, groups objects into categories, rediscovers plasticine and loves to be around children, in kindergarten or in social groups. His favorite game is "The Bear Sleeps" and continues to be fascinated, after all this time, by children who hold hands and rotate in a circle.
Mihnea's world is built through exercise, piece by piece, like a giant puzzle. Our greatest desire is for him spontaneously, on his own, to place the pieces further, thus creating the world to his liking. We're still travelers on a road we can't predict. We still need so much help to accompany Mihnea on his journey.
