We greet you with gratitude and admiration for your constant support and generosity in this noble mission to do good in the world. In August, we witnessed remarkable feats and the transformation of many people's lives, and today we want to share with you the impressive results of this month of compassion and solidarity.
First of all, we are extremely happy to announce that Ana Ivănescu successfully underwent a difficult surgery for scoliosis, and this extraordinary achievement was possible thanks to your unconditional support. The surgery, which had a total cost of 21,500 euros, was like a rebirth for her, and you were by Ana's side in the hardest moments of her life. This is an amazing example of what we can achieve together when we join forces on behalf of humanity.
In August, we raised a total amount of 929,323 RON and 33,272 EUR through SMS donations, sponsorships from your companies and contributions on our dedicated platform. You impressed us with your commitment, and 36 companies were with us, signing 57 contracts to support this noble cause, with a total contribution of 65,616 RON.
43 children and adults facing serious illnesses and precarious social situations received financial support for surgeries and treatment, with amounts ranging from 200 RON to 75,800 RON. Together, we have made it possible for these people to have a chance at life.
The total donated to cases in August 2023 amounts to an impressive amount of 918,440 RON. We also take care of 20 orphaned children, providing them with monthly financial support for their daily needs, ranging from RON 1,500 to RON 5,000 per month.
It is important to mention that good deeds are constantly growing, and this is due to the continuous involvement of soulful people like you, who understand that every day represents the opportunity to make a meaningful change in the lives of others. We are joined daily by more and more generous people who understand that one's life and health should not depend on financial resources.
In August, we initiated 7 new fundraising campaigns dedicated to special people: Mircea Cotoman, Ana Ivănescu, Maria Moca, Elena Berea, Claudiu Manole, Monica Suditu and Xenia Roman. We have several campaigns running at once as we face numerous requests for help from people facing difficult situations.
Regarding the marketing part, we invested 1.1% of the total amount collected in email marketing, Facebook ADS, Google ADS, Google Display and press releases, to increase the visibility of humanitarian cases and implicitly donations.
To cover administrative costs, salaries, payment processor fees, media and social media monitoring, as well as web development, we allocated 6.17% of the collected amount. This allows us to efficiently and transparently manage every aspect of our business.
On our platform, we registered 4768 online donations in August, and 163 friends joined our generous community for the first time, helping to expand our reach.
If you haven't had the opportunity to sponsor in 2022, we enthusiastically encourage you to take this step now, as it's important to know that this process will cost you absolutely nothing. The money required for sponsorship will be transferred by ANAF following the conclusion of the sponsorship contract and the submission of declaration 177. It is a simple and effective way to support our cause without involving additional expenses on your part. Every penny counts and can bring a ray of hope into the lives of those in need.
