Now comes a period of waiting, calm and patience. Three more weeks, three weeks of dreaming and planning, before the next step on this path of healing.

With a heart full of joy and relief, I want to share with you the wonderful news: Iris Ailenei is out of surgery. It was a long process, about 5 hours and 30 minutes, but thanks to the extraordinary skills of the doctors, everything went according to plan. Iris is now a symbol of strength and hope 💪🏻.

Tonight, she will remain under close medical supervision, along with medication to ease her pain. If all goes well, tomorrow she will be moved to the salon. These moments remind us how precious each day is and how important it is to support one another.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you and to the entire Save a Heart 🙏🏻🙏🏻 community. Without your support, generosity and unconditional love, we could not have reached this crucial milestone so quickly. Together, we managed to give Iris the chance to a better life, a chance that every child deserves.

In a deeply moving story of hope and solidarity, Iris Ailenei, a 3-year-old girl, arrived with a heart full of courage in faraway Saudi Arabia at the prestigious American Hospital Clinic. There, in a foreign environment but full of care and professionalism, Iris prepares for two vital and extremely expensive surgeries, with a value of 44,144 euros. In an impressive gesture of generosity and human compassion, the Association raised and donated the incredible amount of 33,702 euros, thus alleviating the financial burden of the hard-pressed family, which now has to cover only the remaining difference. This was made possible through the Iris Rare Rainbow Association, a beacon of light in the family's path. With an open heart and outstretched hands for help, the transfer was made to the Association's account opened especially for little Iris, as bank restrictions prevented direct transactions in the local currency, the Drahmi. Soon, we promise to return with photos and fresh news, accompanied by good thoughts and prayers for the recovery of little Iris, the symbol of struggle, hope and human unity.

Iris Ailenei, 3, faces a difficult situation. She was diagnosed with partial trisomy 7, bilateral hip dislocation, communicative hydrocephalus, psychomotor retardation, and atrial septal defect, which may require surgery. The severity of hip dislocation is classified as grade IV. At the age of just one month, an attempt was made to correct it with a cast machine for two months, but unfortunately without success. Iris also suffers from congenital arthrogryposis, hypotonic syndrome and ligamentous hyperlaxity.

So far, the fundraising campaign to help her has attracted the attention and support of 486 people, who donated a total of 972 euros. By texting 8832 with the text "Iris", you can also contribute to this noble cause. The deadline for SMS donations is January 15, 2023.
