At 12 years old, David dreams of running after the ball and coming home from football with stories about the match. However, he was diagnosed with Wolff–Parkinson–White (WPW) syndrome: an additional electrical pathway in his heart can trigger very rapid heartbeats. He needs a cardiac ablation, and the cost of the procedure, 11,500 euros, exceeds his family's means.

Help my heart keep up with my childhood.

My name is David, I am 12 years old, and I want to come home from football tired and happy, eager to tell my parents how I played. To tell them about a good pass, a goal, and the next match that I can hardly wait for. I want to be able to run alongside my friends without being afraid for my heart.

I suffer from Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome, also called WPW. There is an extra electrical pathway in my heart, which can cause episodes of very rapid heartbeats, sometimes accompanied by dizziness, shortness of breath, or fainting. Without the right treatment, these episodes can return, and in rare cases, life-threatening rhythm disturbances may occur. The risk differs from one patient to another, and for me, a cardiac ablation procedure is needed at Monza Hospital, through which doctors aim to interrupt this abnormal electrical pathway.

The amount needed is 11,500 euros, far beyond my family’s means. My parents need help so that I can undergo the procedure, and I would like to make it easier for them by taking some of this worry off their shoulders. So that we can talk about school, football, and what I will do when I grow up, with more peace and confidence.

I still do not know what profession I will have or what I will truly be good at. There are so many things I have not tried and so many things about myself that I have yet to discover. I want to grow, learn, make mistakes, and try again until I find my path. And one day, when my mother and father need me, I want to be there and take care of them.

Until then, my dream begins with this procedure and the hope that I will be able to enjoy childhood, my friends, and football. That I will be able to make plans for the next holiday and for the years ahead, leaving more and more room for joy.

Please help me get to the ablation procedure. Any donation brings us closer to the 11,500 euros, and a share can bring my story to someone who can support me.
