Florin's story
How can you move forward in life with confidence, hope and optimism if you can no longer walk on your own feet?
It is a question that presses the soul of a young man from Botosani County, since he found out that he suffers from a rare and very serious disease.
Florin Babiciuc was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a hereditary condition characterized by atrophy of muscles and progressive damage to peripheral nerves. In addition, it also has neuromuscular scoliosis and atrophies in the limbs.
At the age of 17, the boy should have a life full of health, enthusiasm, dreams and happy experiences. Unfortunately, they all shattered the moment he heard the three French names and understood what they represented for his future.
Florin has been suffering from this disease since the age of 4. In order to have a normal life, they would need an operation that costs 23,000 euros. Due to lack of money I could not help him. We walked with him through the hospitals, but we could not solve anything, wrote the boy's mother, Doinița Babiciuc.
The good part is that there are solutions to Florin's problem. At Monza Hospital in Bucharest, the young man can be operated on by specialists and his life can be better, more free of pain and limitations. The bad part is that his family is too poor to ever be able to hope for 23,000 euros. The mother is an attendant, the father is a housewife, and all of them live on the boy's allowance and a monthly allowance of 1,300 lei.
I appeal to you to help me as much as you can to give Florin a hope and to rid him of the physical and spiritual pains, appealed the woman overwhelmed by her son's problems.
Not infrequently we managed to raise much larger amounts than the one that Florin Babiciuc needs. And this time we are sure that through the help of you, of all those who understand the value of life, of youth and you are with such poor families, we will be able to change for the better the future of a young man hard-pressed by fate.
