The drama of Bogdan Marian Banica, a 9-year-old boy, began on May 20, 2016, when he had severe headaches. They went to the GP, where he was prescribed a treatment and a syrup for the cold. After 7 days of treatment, the child had the same symptoms and was prescribed another treatment. On June 20, 2016, he returned to the doctor, presenting severe pain in his left arm and was prescribed alify for pain. On July 28, the parents arrived with the child in the emergency room in Slatina, because he had severe headaches and temperature.

Several investigations followed, including Computer Tomograph, which resulted in a tumour in his lungs. On August 5, 2016, the child was transported in critical condition to a hospital in Bucharest, where he received the bad news: Acute Lymphoplastic Leukaemia.

The chemotherapy protocol began urgently for a year, and this period, the disease relapsed. They returned to the hospital for the second protocol, the boy had a tooth haemorrhage and his body covered in blisters. As he was told he had little chance of healing, being in a critical situation, his parents could no longer bear the news and asked for help from clinics abroad. They chose to go to Turkey, to The Park Medical Hospital in Istanbul, because they heard that several children with cancer had been rescued there.

On September 5th they arrived in Istanbul, where they are due to begin treatment and a marrow transplant. But the costs are far too high for the family's possibilities and they ask us to save his child!
