At the beginning of November 2014, Florentine, only 16 years old, had leg pain, had become inflamed and could not walk. He went to the Oil Hospital in Ploiesti to get an X-ray. After the X-ray he had an MRI, and his results revealed terrible news: he had grown a malignant tumor formation on his right tibia.

On 10.11.2014, he performed a biopsy at the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest, and following histopatologoi examination and scintigraphic examination is made the diagnosis of: Osteosarcoma osteogenic right tibia.

Between December 2014 and March 2015, the child underwent treatment with cytostatics (Doxorobicin, Cisplatin and Metrotexat). On 26.05.2015, performed a right ghenuncle modular tumor endoprosthesis, on 2.06.2015 a purulent fluid appears in the surgical wound. On June 4, 2015 he is fitted with an aspirational dressing with negative pressure, his suction dressing is changed twice a week with total anesthesia. Postoperative evolution is unfortunately unfavorable. On the bacteriological examination, on 30.06.2015, staphylococcus epidermis came out, and on 14.07.2015 he was extracted modular prosthesis and mounted the right femuro-tibial external fixer.

During the period 30.09.2016-18.03.2016 is carried out the transfer to the Oncology Department, where it carries out the postoperative chemotherapy treatment (Doxorobicin, Cisplatin and Metrotexat), and on 22.04.2016 it is decided to remove the external fixer and immobilize in the plastered apparatus. On 22.06.2016 surgically reintervened by practicing incision of about 30 cm centered on the old scars, in the knee, and a third proximal to the calf. It is decided to place a new implant and resect 4cm of the femur. At the end of the intervention, the pulse is absent and after 20 minutes another prosthesis is re-intervened and added. It is discharged 2.08.2016 and returns to control over after recovery.

On 6.01.2017 he returns urgently with pain in his legs and his leg stuck in flexion. After the tests done it was seen on X-rays that the prosthesis grinds the femoral bone and the other solution is only amputation. Florentina disagreed with the amputation decision and sent the medical documents to Italy. He was at the Rizzoli Hospital in Bologna, at Dr. De Paolis Massimiliano, and we were given a 90% chance of saving the leg. The prosthesis costs, however, 30 thousand euros without the E112 form and with the form 20 thousand euros.
