In Turkey at Medipol Mega Hospital we had a series of investigations carried out by a team of extraordinary doctors. In a very short time this team of people with a big heart have done me a lot of tests and medical investigations that have not been done in the country for various reasons such as the lack of performance equipment and the extreme long waiting time that can exceed a few months for programming.
A first series of investigations consisted of PET-CT (computer tomography), 4 biopsies (in both breasts, armpit and pectoral muscle), mammograms in both breasts, blood tests
Following the results I received a terrifying response that left me speechless because I knew from Romania that there were cancerous nodules only in my left breast.
I found out that I have a cancerous tumor in my right breast and my left armpit was also affected..
As a result of the diagnosis and the fact that I had one month after the end of the chemotherapy treatment the doctors decided that the only solution is emergency surgery although the amount of 12,000 euros did not amount thus putting my life above money.
Preparation for the operation encountered some difficulties that were overcome by the team of doctors due to the fact that in Romania the doctors who did the biopsy forgot to perform the procedure of marking and positioning the nodules of the left breast.
Preparation for surgery consisted in marking and positioning of nodules from both the right and left breast and the ganglia of the left armpit that were also affected, blood tests, X-rays, electrocadiogram,
The operation was long and lasted almost 4 hours and consisted in fact of 3 surgeries in which I was operated on both the right and left breast and the left armpit.
Now I have to follow on the recommendation of the team of doctors at Medipol Mega, in about a month a treatment of Radiotherapy aimed at the operated areas to make sure that the cancer does not return.
The treatment comprises 30 series of radiotherapy procedures as well as weekly medical investigations, which will last about 2 months, and its cost amounts to about 9000 euros.
This money that adds to the initial amount of 12000, raising the total costs to about 21,000 euros

Mariana's story
In March 2019 while breastfeeding I was diagnosed following histopathological examination in my left breast (biopsy-puncture), with invasive breast carcinoma NST grade III.
At the end of February 2016, after an X-ray of my lungs I was told that I have TB (I did all my tests because I wanted to have a baby). At the beginning of March I checked myself in to carry out the other tests necessary to confirm the disease, because I was told that,if I do not admit, I can not do the sputum analysis,so I checked myself in. The sputum analysis came back negative, however, the doctor told me that,"this is not relevant that I do not have TB even if it did not come out in the sputum".
Ten days after starting treatment I fell into the hospital losing consciousness for a few minutes. As a result of the accommodation, I hit my left side of the body with bruising to my hand and shoulder. After about a week I noticed a lump in my left breast. When I finished the TB treatment, after 6 months, seeing that my lump did not disappear I had a mammogram, after which I was told that I had nothing to fear that it was only a non-cancerous lump, without being recommended to check the node periodically.
In December 2016 I got pregnant, 9 months later in September 2017 I gave birth and in February 2019 while breastfeeding I noticed a new lump in the armpit at the same left breast.
On March 8, 2019 I did an ultrasound and ireceived the diagnosis of left breast cancer and was recommended to do a biopsy.
On March 25, 2019, I did the biopsy and was told I had Grade III cancer, recommending chemotherapy before surgery to shrink the lump. Between May and November I had chemotherapy treatment and until November 27th I have to have surgery.
Please help me to go to the investigations and to be able to do my surgery in Turkey at the MEDIPOL hospital in Istanbul, where I received a second medical opinion as well as a medical letter of reception.
I'm desperate, I don't want my baby to grow up without my mother! Will ROG don't let me!
I'd like to add a mention. Considering that I went on parental leave for children up to 2 years old, my salary is about 850 lei and the husband was fired because I could no longer take care of the child because of chemotherapy and had to go on parental leave in the last 4 months.
