Jasmine's dream and all of us has been fulfilled! Jasmine underwent surgery today and next week there will be another very difficult intervention and later the specialist doctors in Switzerland will make a council to decide what will be better for Jasmine.

Jasmine's story

This year, as ever, many of us have hardly endured the months in which we have been locked up in homes for fear of the coronavirus. Even harder was the children, by nature scratchy and always eager to play. And Iasmina Costache stayed at home, but not necessarily because of the pandemic, but because her feet no longer allow her to walk, to fly, to play like an ordinary child.

At the age of 8 months, her limbs began to show signs that something was deeply wrong. They tense and moved uncontrollably, and thelittle body, once full of energy and life, wasdrying up.

Today, more than 9 years away, Jasmine is totally dependent on her parents. The child was diagnosed with Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome, a genetic condition that causes severe physical and mental disability.

With tears in her eyes, the mother of the little girl looks helplessly at her suffering and asks for help from all those who can help improve the state in which Jasmine finds herself. So far, the child has undergone therapies, orthotics and numerous surgeries, but none was enough. He will have to endure 8 more surgeries, on his hip, knees and soles. The latter will have to be carried out in Switzerland at the Children's Hospital in Zurich.

The cost of these interventions far exceeds the possibilities of the Costache family, who spent everything they could on the previous operations and treatments. It's about 60000 euros, an amount that can be raised if we join forces and donate each as much as we can.

Only united can we overcome the insurmountable obstacles that too young and too innocent children have in the way of a bright and happy future.
