As a sign of solidarity and support, our association has today taken a major step in this battle. With a heart full of hope and outstretched hands for help, I paid EUR 10,000, according to the attached payment order. This gesture is not only a financial contribution, but it is a powerful message that, together, we can lift each other up, that together we can bring light even to the darkest corners of despair.

Our struggle, Cristina's struggle, the struggle of every envious person who faces adversity does not stop here. We continue to fight, hope and believe that every day can bring with it a new beginning, a new chance at life.

A mother's story fighting for her daughter

Good afternoon, dear friends,

Every time I use the word "friends," I think of that saying that only when a friend needs to know each other. I never thought I would be in a position to address you with these words, but today I am here, heart in hand, hoping that in the multitude of these lines I will find helpful souls in need.

Life has its own unique way of testing us. Two years ago, I experienced one of the most painful losses: my mother, a strong woman and always by my side, passed away from cancer. I held her in my arms, hoped until the last moment, but destiny was merciless. The pain of losing her was exacerbated by my husband, who chose to leave me, leaving me alone with a wonderful 10-year-old girl, Sara. Sara, who doesn't understand why her mother must be so sad.

Just when I thought I had reached the peak of my hardships, new news shook me: synovial sarcoma—a diagnosis that meant cancer of bone tissue. For a moment, I felt that the light at the end of the tunnel had gone out and that my powers were exhausted.

But even in those moments of despair, I felt a warm hand on my shoulder—Sarah's hand. I understood that I had to fight for both. God showed me that there is a chance. That chance lies in your hearts and generosity.

I started chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. But there is still so much to go. The operation, the only one that gives me hope of a normal life, is unfortunately extremely expensive.

Please, from the bottom of your soul, do not be indifferent. Think that every contribution, even small, means a chance for me, but especially for Sara, who every night whispers to me that she wants me healthy.
