David's story
Although life put him at risk of dying even before he was born, a baby boy continues to fight to live. David Pantelimon was diagnosed with fetal hydrops, a condition that causes his lungs to be flooded with fluid, not allowing them to develop normally. The disease was discovered while the baby was still in the mother's belly.
God got in the way of the only doctor who has surgery in the womb, Mr. Hadi Rahimian. The chances of success were 50%, but we decided to do anything to save our baby, says David's mother, Nicoleta Pantelimon.
Fortunately, the operation succeeded and so the little boy defied death. But the fight did not end here, because David was born prematurely, on June 7, at 34 weeks of pregnancy, and from that moment on he remained hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the "Regina Maria" Hospital.
Every day, the baby needs appliances to breathe, as well as the medication needed to develop the lungs. Doctors supervise him around the clock.
They told us it would be fine, with patience and small steps. We have made every human effort to save our baby, but at the moment the bills are beyond our power and for this reason we need your help to give a chance at life to our much-desired baby, wrote to us and the father of the little boy, George Rosca.
David is not yet out of danger. He depends at every moment on appliances and treatments that practically keep him alive and help him develop normally, despite a not at all favorable start. All this costs, and the amount already amounts to 20,000 euros. Neither Nicoleta nor George can get so much money, given that they live from a common income of 4,000 lei. As a result, they asked us to extend a helping hand to them.
Only a parent not to be and to see your sick child on a hospital bed, in an ICU ward! Only mother or father not to be when your baby's life depends on an amount of money that you have no way to raise, much less in record time, given the state in which your son is...
