Vlad Placinta, president of the "Save a Heart" Association, was awarded on Tuesday evening at the eighth edition of the National Gala of Excellence in Social Work. He was nominated by the Botosani Territorial Structure of the National College of Social Workers in Romania (CNASR) in the category of personalities who stood out in supporting the profession of social worker during 2020-2021.

The event was presented by Andreea Marin. "The joy was greater, because I met people for dedicated people, with time and without time, vulnerable people in the community they represent and people from outside the country who need their support. At the presentation of each winner, my heart leaped with joy to see what beautiful people we have in our country that no one knows, many of these people work for almost silently with all the love and responsibility that the people who turn to them benefit from their support to successfully overcome the obstacle that lies ahead. Thank you very much for the trust given to the Botosani territorial structure of the National College of Social Workers in Romania", said Vlad Placinta.

Millions of euros raised over the years

With an experience of about 10 years in the field of projects carried out through the "Save a heart" Association, Vlad Placintă managed to collect over 14 million euros through projects and donations, managing with these funds to provide services that positively impacted the lives and extreme needs of hundreds and hundreds of children and adults at risk.

According to representatives of the Botosani Territorial Structure of CNASR, during the pandemic, Vlad Placintă provided specific services and equipment for protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection. He was also involved in the activity of Nicolae House, in the village of Rădeni – Frumuşica, where over 15 homeless people found their home. At the same time, it has an important role in building a settlement for orphaned children.

"For us, Mr. Vlad Dumitru Placintă is and will always remain a fighter who proved that he holds the key to success when it is necessary to be efficient in the fight to help peers in critical situations, of extreme needs and deprivation.

The President of the "Save a Heart" Association is an Honorary Citizen of Botosani and an Honorary Citizen of Frumusica commune.
