In December 2021, our community did an extraordinary thing: they came together for the life of a child.
Doru-Marian Blanariu was only 13 years old when he received a diagnosis that was difficult to put into words – thalamic glioma, a brain tumor. A long and difficult road began then, with a complex operation carried out in Turkey, in Acibadem, and with a lot of fear, but also with hope.

Today, four years later, we can gratefully say that hope has won.
Doru performed the 6-month check-up, and the results are good. He feels good, moves on with his life, works, laughs and takes care of his sister. These are simple gestures, but they say everything about how much the support received on time matters.

This success is not just Doru's story.
It is the story of a united community.

Hello! It is with great joy in my soul that I announce that the result of the MRI came out as well as possible, everything being stable. The neurological examination also does not show any major problems, small exceptions being the headaches that he still feels. The next check being in 6 months, we are already hoping for the better!

We have confirmation from doctors that the lesion is not a tumor!!! 🙏
The neurological examination went well, and the MRI shows that the lesion is stable, without pathological changes. In the pituitary gland it has a tumor, but which at the moment does not pose problems, the results of the analyzes show that it works within normal parameters. We will follow it annually with the specific pituitary analyzes, and the neo-theoretical control and the next MRI is in May.

This is how the end of last year found us: kneeling by a difficult diagnosis, scared of what was to come, powerless in every way.

This year finds us pretty much the same... With fear of a possible relapse, with the same helplessness, it seems as if he presses on us even harder.

Doru was operated in January, and for 2 years, every 3 months, we will follow the periodical checks, the necessary investigations. That's how I did it. Last month, we had to do the control MRI in the country, we actually had to go to Turkey, where it was operated on. Until August we went, but financially we can't handle it anymore.

We have sent the images to the doctors in Turkey and their response is that a brain injury occurs but they cannot pronounce exactly of what nature and we must necessarily go to them.

We are still helped by Mr. Vlad Pie, whom we thank from the bottom of our hearts, with the payment of the bills to the clinic but, financially, we exceed our roads, accommodation, treatment and again please help us to be able to continue!

Hello! 
I did the control MRI in the boy and it looks good, there are no changes from 3 months ago. 
We did it in Iasi because we can no longer manage to have gone to Turkey. I also sent the images to dr. Mehmet, we wait for an answer and from there to see what they tell us. 

Doru is fine, he still torments the headaches, but we can handle them. We hope and pray that it will get better and better. Thank you very much for all your help!

We come with good news... Following the pathological result, the doctors decided not to do chemo or radiotherapy, since the pathological result is a good one. But for 2 years we will have to perform every 3 months mri control because it is the risk of relapse. If God forbid he shows up again then he will do chemotherapy.

Doru was moved from the ICU to the salon, following the discussions he had with Dr. Memet Ozek told us that everything is fine and that following the surgery, the vital functions of the child were not affected. A long period of recovery follows and following the pathological analysis he will be planned a treatment.

When we continue our Holy Winter Holidays, the Blanariu family will go through the hardest moment of their lives. On 06.01.2022, Doru Blanariu will undergo brain surgery. Following the treatment plan, which unfortunately will be lasting and then the regular check-ups.
