Vlad's story

In life, some problems can go unnoticed with the years. When the world is dearer to you, they appear out of the blue and you wonder how there was no sign that there was a serious problem somewhere.

Until the age of 5, Vlad Enache was an ordinary child, full of energy, ready to play, cheerful and scratchy, but he became ill often and for viruses he took treatment with antibiotics. However, following a medical consultation, things changed. The doctor told his parents that Vlad's heart was not heard properly and that it would be good to take him to a pediatric cardiologist.

We were amazed, but at the same time very worried. We went to Botosani, then to Suceava, Iasi and then to Bucharest, where we were confirmed what we did not want to accept, namely that Vlad had been born with a heart malformation - monocuspid aortic valve, says Loredana Enache, the boy's mother.

In other words, Vlad's heart no longer pumps blood as it should, and his life is in danger if the defect is not repaired by an operation.

Although he underwent surgery a few years ago, the problem valve began to crack, which is why the boy needs a new aortic valve prosthesis. The operation is scheduled at the beginning of July, at the Monza Hospital in Bucharest, and costs € 15,000.

The costs are far beyond our financial powers. My husband, Marius, is a public transport driver, and I am a manager at a bookstore, explains Vlad's mother, worried about the impossibility of obtaining so much money in such a short time.

The boy's situation is an already delicate one. Vlad already gets tired very easily and accuses chest pains, and the efforts that his heart makes because of the defective valve can lead over time to heart failure.

With all his heart, the young man asks us to help him to operate astfel so that he also has a healthy life, no longer sits in fear and can breathe without pain.
