In order to give him the chance to a normal childhood, without pain and restrictions, a specialized medical intervention is required at the Monza Hospital in Bucharest, worth €32,318.

The story of a brave heart
Filofteia is 11 months old. I watch her stretch out her hands towards me, how she laughs heartily at the slightest gesture of affection, how she finds her own rhythm in this big world. I look at her and feel my heart leap, between love and fear, between hope and unanswered questions. He is a child like any other – curious, full of life, eager to explore. But in her eyes, in her wide smile, in the warm grip of her little hands, there is something more: an invisible force, a light that seems to want to tell me that everything will be fine.
Filofteia was born with congenital scoliosis, a reality I knew nothing about before she came into the world. No one told me, no one prepared me. During pregnancy, doctors told me that she would be born with talus valgus, that her legs would be crooked, but no one mentioned anything about her spine. I had no signs, no warnings, just news that would turn my world upside down after giving birth.
Even then, in the first moments when I squeezed her chest, I didn't receive a clear answer. I was just told to watch it, to wait, to see how it evolves. But how to wait when it comes to your child? How can you not feel that every day comes with a dull fear, hidden among hugs and kisses on the forehead? I didn't know that her path would be so different, that every little progress would be a victory won with patience and love.
And yet, if we only look at the disease, we miss the essential. Because Filothea is not her scoliosis. She is the force that teaches me, every day, what true courage means. It is the laughter that fills the house with light, it is its playful gaze that knows no limits. She doesn't know that she is different. And they don't even need to know now.
For us, Filothea is a gift. It's the pure joy of every morning, it's the warmth we cling to on hard days. It is proof that love can overcome any obstacle, that a small body can harbor a big, fearless heart.
We don't know what the future holds, but one thing is certain: whatever it is, Filofteia will not walk this path alone. We will be there at every step, to support her, to hold her hand, to pick her up when she falls. We will fight alongside her, we will hope for her, we will believe in her, until the world understands what we already know: that Filothea is not just a story about struggle, but a story about love.
