🌟 A gesture of hope for Gabriel Leonardo

In an ever-changing world, where the pace of life often makes us forget what empathy means, Allianz-Tiriac proves that humanity still exists — and that when we choose to get involved, we can change destinies.

This gesture is not just a donation. It is a sign that where there is care and social responsibility, a better world is taking shape. It is a sign that there is hope for Gabriel Leonardo, a 4-year-old boy who is struggling with a cruel diagnosis: neurofibromatosis type 1.

In order to have access to the treatment he needs, Gabriel must go to the LIV HOSPITAL clinic, and the total cost of the treatment is 38,500 euros. Each donation means a step closer to healing, a day closer to childhood lived without pain, a smile instead of tears.

Help Leo walk again!

Gabriel is a boy of only 4 and a half years old, who, a few months ago, was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis type 1 – a rare genetic disease that affects the development of bones and the nervous system. He has "café-au-lait" spots on his body, and since birth, his right leg has been curved and he suffered an ankle fracture, which was treated incorrectly. Although the ankle was considered a minor problem, the real fight began with the tibia, which curved progressively and could no longer heal naturally.

So far, Gabriel has undergone two major surgeries. In the first, he was implanted with a telescopic rod, but it turned out to be too long, preventing him from straightening his leg and causing complications. In the second intervention, the rod was shortened, but it is still inappropriate, and Leo's tibia now curves even more. Unfortunately, the bones did not weld together even after a year after the first intervention, due to the disease and an associated condition: congenital pseudarthrosis.

To stimulate healing, doctors have also tried complex procedures – including injecting bone marrow extracted from the hip, but to no avail. Leo now has his leg stuck in an abnormal position, with constant pain and the inability to walk.

In Romania, the proposed medical solution is leg amputation, but Leo's family refuses to accept this tragic end of his childhood.

Hope has emerged recently – in Turkey, where a team of specialists has analyzed Gabriel's case and can perform a life-saving intervention, aimed at keeping his leg and giving him back the chance at a normal life.

The intervention costs 38,500 euros, to which are added the costs of accommodation and medical supervision for a month. Unfortunately, after a year of traveling through hospitals, treatments and huge efforts, the family is financially exhausted.

"I'm a desperate mother. I don't want miracles, I just want my little boy to be able to walk again. He went until the first operation, and now he is stuck in bed or in the stroller, with pain and no childhood. I see him dying, day after day. He doesn't have a kindergarten, he doesn't have a playground, he doesn't have friends. Only hospitals, tests and tears. For a year we have been living only in pain and shattered hopes. Our dream is to see our child get back on his feet, even if he limps. I just want to give him a life. We can no longer do anything without help. And we did everything we could. I beg you: help us save Leo." wrote Gabriel's mother
