With hearts full of gratitude, we announce that Elena, our 9-year-old daughter, was operated on Wednesday and, with the help of the Good God, she went through this ordeal well. With each passing moment, we feel blessed and thank Heaven for all the support we have received during these difficult times.
The surgery lasted for hours, from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., but we know that your prayers and good thoughts accompanied us every step of the way. The necessary amount, €29,410, was raised in an incredibly short time, and this showed us that we are not alone in this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every word of encouragement, for every gesture of kindness and for all your prayers. We sincerely want to meet you in person, so that Elena can give you a warm and sincere hug. You are a blessing in our lives, and without you, this hope would not have been possible!
The surgery for congenital scoliosis will continue treatment at Monza Hospital in Bucharest, and we are full of hope for Elena's future. We carry you in our prayers and are eternally grateful for all your help.

A day full of emotions and hope for Elena
Yesterday was an extraordinary day, full of emotions and hope. 302 people with generous hearts joined our cause, donating online and by bank transfer to give Elena Ghemeș, a 9-year-old girl, the chance at a normal life. With your help, we have managed to raise 13,451 euros so far – an impressive amount, but we still have a long and arduous way to go to reach the 29,410 euros needed for her surgery at the Monza Hospital in Bucharest.
Words are superfluous to thank you for your support, but we know that together we can overcome any obstacle. We have already shown that the necessary amounts can be achieved when we join forces, even for seriously ill children. Elena needs all of us to win this fight, and any contribution brings us closer to our ultimate goal.

Elena has big dreams. She aspires to become a doctor and psychologist to help other children like her who are struggling with pain and challenges. Despite enduring immense suffering, she has never lost hope. Her condition, congenital scoliosis, a severe spinal deformity present from birth, prevents her from fully enjoying her childhood. But Elena refuses to let her illness dim her spirit. She finds solace in books, excelling in school, inspired by her brother who supports and encourages her to believe in her dreams, reminding her that with prayer and faith in God, anything is possible.
