Yesterday, Luca had a puncture again, this time with an injection of 3 cytostatics in the spine, the second of the 6 he has to do after the bone marrow transplant. It is very difficult for him; She doesn't want to go to the hospital anymore, she cries because of the conditions she's going through, she sleeps a lot and she doesn't eat almost anything anymore. Because of this, he has lost a lot of weight—from 30 kilos, which he had when he started the treatment, he is now only 23, which is very little for his age.

We trust God that everything will be fine, but we also need your help. Any financial contribution, no matter how small, is worth a lot to us, and a prayer or a sharing of this post can bring us one step closer to healing.

The result of the puncture is negative, thank God 🙏🙏🙏. Today is the 43rd day of hospitalization, and Luca has a fever, but the reason is not yet known; Investigations are ongoing. He is very depressed, he cries, he screams that he wants home. He can't stand to stay in the hospital anymore, he also wants, like the other children, to enjoy his childhood, because in the last 3 years he hasn't really done it. Its future also means hospitals, analyzes and controls 😭😭😭. We still don't know how long this situation will last, we only know that it will be a long one... That is why we ask you from the bottom of our hearts to stay with us.

Since last night, Luke has been given morphine. 😭😭😭 It is day six after the transplant 🙏🙏🙏 and the side effects of chemotherapy have appeared, manifested by mucositis, sore throat, tummy pain and other malaise that our little Luca does not know how to explain.

Today, Luke woke up dizzy and has been sleeping for several hours. He is very weak... It's the third day he doesn't eat anything, and he hardly drinks water, only when he has to take his pills.

Today, Luke underwent a new medical test: a lumbar puncture. The number of these procedures and general anaesthesia he has undergone so far is hard to account for – it may be in the tens in the last three years. Our hearts tremble every time, but today we received a ray of hope: the result is NEGATIVE 🙏, a clear signal that the treatment is working. We still have to go through 12 days out of the 28 treatments.

Luca is still hospitalized, dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy. He is very bored and wants to go home. That's why my dad came to visit today. We enjoyed it a lot, although the visit was too short. We hope that in the coming days we will be discharged and go to David.

I haven't written for a few days, Luca is still hospitalized. Monday was the last day of chemotherapy of the six. Side effects were not long in coming: malaise, fever, chills and lack of appetite. Today was a little better, thank goodness. Test values began to decrease, which means that the treatment is working. We will have to stay hospitalized for the next period.

The results of compatibility tests with his brother have arrived; Unfortunately, they are not compatible, so they will search for a donor in the database. If they don't find one there either, one of the parents will be the bone marrow donor.
