I was about to come home and got covid.. probably from the drivers who take us to the hospital.. I don't know.. from somewhere it took it. All the analyzes were messed up, the platelets decreased badly ff, the liver tests worsened and it took many investigations, MRI, puncture, frequent transfusions of trombocite.ne Andreea said

Last year at this time, on the eve of the biggest Christian holiday, I was giving you the worst news anyone could give you. When your health is suppressed and you find out that you suffer from a complicated and very serious disease it is the hardest feeling that a man can understand.
It was an extremely difficult year that can not be expressed in words and I would not have succeeded if I did not have the support of you and of God who worked through people!
I want to thank you that during all this time you have been by my side unconditionally, I have met and talked to wonderful people who have restored my hope and transmitted love to me!
Thank you for everything, to each one of you, and for reacting and now to be able to continue the recovery treatment, I know that I repeat myself but God works through people and only with your help I will succeed
God helps us and loves each of us unconditionally! God help !

The story of the young mother, Andreea Iordache

In September 2020 I received bad news regarding my health and life expectancy. Initially I was very optimistic and I thought it was something that can be solved immediately and life will return to normal in a short time. Unfortunately it was not so, I found out that I have a rare disease in our Country that is called aggressive, malignant Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma located in an atypical area – the right maxillary sinus (this lymphoma being actually a cancer of the blood that localizes in a certain area). I think you can imagine that I went through all the possible states from self-encouragement, dark thoughts, resignation, despair, panic, fear, which then turned into frustrations, because it was not something I could have controlled, I was just thinking about Miruna, my 10-year-old daughter, and how her life without a mother would go.

Up to that point I was happy and fulfilled on all levels, my life was more than I could have wanted and I thanked God every day for what he had given me, but nothing portends a misfortune. This fell like a lightning rod on us and we accepted it very hard, not only me but all the family members (parents, husband even the child to whom I had to explain that there will be a more difficult period in which mommy will no longer have hair and will no longer be very jovial as before). We accepted, we mounted, we joined forces and we said that if there is a 1% chance of winning this fight, I will fight without a doubt!

Due to the fact that in Romania I was not given too many chances and the doctors strongly wanted to communicate to both my husband and myself that in maximum 1 year I will lose the battle with the disease and it would be advisable to look for a place to stay, I arrived in January 2021 in Turkey, Istanbul at the American Hospital where I underwent a very harsh treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the same time. We went through some very difficult moments but the results did not delay to appear. In March, following a PET CT scan, I found out that lymphoma has disappeared and doctors are preparing me for transplate.  On May 5, 2021 I performed the stem cell transplant from my brother. Due to the long period in which I had to stay hospitalized after the transplant (4 months) the related costs so far exceed the amount of EUR 250,000, the amount that we have hardly managed to collect from family, friends, companies .. etc.  I am an economist by profession, I have been working in sales for many years, but due to the pandemic my income has diminished considerably. We were doing very hard because due to the very long period of treatment we had to rent an apartment in Istanbul since January that costs us 1,000 euros / month. In addition to rent, the monthly treatment after transplantation costs around 3,000 euros / month. My diet must be very carefully watched, food only cooked in house and fresh, which contributes considerably to the monthly expenses. At home we have to pay installments, credits, bills .. etc. My daughter Miruna is in the fourth grade, she is 10 years old and we have been separated since January. We hardly managed to bring her to Istanbul for a few days, but during the transplant she was not allowed to see me face to face, only through a window that separated us. I performed two biopsies after the transplant and the doctors confirmed to me that there are no more cancer cells in the marrow and the lymphoma has diit seemed out of the body. Further, due to the fact that I had a lot of adverse effects after the transplant, the analyzes do not stabilize and the body was affected by the harsh chemotherapy sessions, I have to follow some very expensive plasma change sessions. Each session costs 3,800 euros.

We started a treatment to solve the last remaining problem, that of stabilizing the number of platelets in the blood. The estimated costs are around EUR 60,000.

After I have the stable tests for a longer period of time I will be able to come home where I will continue the treatment prescribed by the doctors and I will go to the monthly check-up in Istanbul.

I appeal to you because I need everyone's support in this fight, as much as possible financially, but I also want you to help me with a good thought and a prayer!
