The story of Ionuț Mutascu
Ionuț Petrică Mutascu is a child of only 14 years old, who can no longer enjoy his childhood for almost a year, fighting cancer on the beds in hospitals, and who has fallen behind his colleagues at school, unable to enter classes at least online, due to the pain and torment he goes through daily.
It all started in May 2020, when, following abdominal pain and spasms, he arrived at the hospital, where, with a suspicion of acute peritonitis, he underwent surgery. During the operation, a tumor was identified, and the diagnosis was: Sarcoma of soft parts with desmoplastic cell, stage IV with abdominal starting point and multiple abdominal metastases at the distance, progressive disease.
Since then Ionuț has not left the hospital, his condition is quite serious. Following a series of analyses and investigations, he began treatment with cytostatics in July. In December, unfortunately, doctors had to discontinue his treatment, Ionuț being diagnosed positively with SARS-VOC 2. In January, a CT control, the result of which the world has turned the world upside down once again - Ionut did not respond to the treatment performed, the disease being in progression.
The days passed, Ionuț was still hospitalized and waiting for something to be done to him. Because of his condition, doctors were unable to stabilize them to give him any treatment. The condition was getting worse, the abdomen swelling like a balloon. He was given no hope, at least for a stop, or at least a slowdown. Ionuț was waiting and hoping...
Ionuț's mother and father, simple people, who earn their bread by working the land, could not sit still watching their child die (who of us could?). They did their best and the impossible and arrived, with the help of the good Lord and the big-hearted people, at a private clinic in Turkey, where they immediately started treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, after which radiotherapy would follow. Ionuț has been hospitalized for almost a month. The hope is that as a result of these treatments, the stage will be reached when the operation will be possible and the tumor will be removed.
Unfortunately, Ionuț's health costs, and the amount of money available to his parents, after selling what they could, is not enough. Currently it is a sum of 66,850 Euro for chemotherapy, immunotherapy.
