Julia's story
The life of Iuliana Lazar, a young woman full of hope and dreams, changed dramatically on a day that was supposed to be the beginning of a new stage full of promise. At just 19 years old, when she was preparing to start college and build a future, she received the devastating news that shattered all her plans: diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer, Iuliana had to completely change her life trajectory.
Iuliana comes from a modest family, without sufficient financial resources, but full of love and hope. Treatment with cytostatics began in the Republic of Moldova, but the disease was progressing rapidly and the results were far from expectations. The doctors there gave the cruel verdict: the cancer could not be controlled.
Although struck by this painful news, Iuliana did not give up. With determination and courage, she looked for a new chance and ended up in Turkey, at BHT Clinic Hospital in Istanbul. There, a new biopsy was performed, and the initial diagnosis turned out to be partially wrong. The disease was also Hodgkin's lymphoma, but of a different type, and multiple metastases further complicated the situation.
Hematologists in Turkey have proposed a treatment plan that can save her life, but the costs are huge: 114,750 euros. Moreover, in order to survive, Iuliana may need a stem cell transplant, an extremely expensive and risky procedure.
Even in the face of these terrible trials, Iuliana did not lose her will to live. Her cry is a simple one, but full of emotion: "I want to live!". Behind these words hides a young woman full of dreams, a young woman who still loves life and who hopes to follow her path to a career, education and a bright future.
