As you can see, he took his first steps after a difficult operation, but which brought back his health. We can't believe after so many years of battling scoliosis, what a good posture he has now and that he can finally breathe much better.

A cumulative effort of the people, of the Save a Heart Association and of the surgeon and the entire team at Kind im Zentrum, changed the life of a child with multiple diseases. After long hours of waiting, full of hope and anxiety, the clock showed 6 p.m., the moment when the little girl finally left the operating room. The intervention, complex and delicate, stretched longer than expected, waking up from anesthesia becoming a new cause for concern. Doctors, with their extensive experience, speculated that it may be a complication due to Rett syndrome, a hypothesis that added a new layer of anxiety on top of the existing one.

Now, she sleeps peacefully in the intensive care unit, under the watchful eyes of doctors. The surgeon, a pillar of support in these moments, calmly assured us that such delays in awakening are normal in children; Some have a harder time returning from the world of anesthesia-induced dreams. However, our soul is heavy, every second passed without signs of its awakening is an eternity.

Scoliosis, this insidious condition, has brought us to this difficult point. But with your generous help, we were able to finance this vital operation. There are still concerns about her basin, an uncertain chapter that will be assessed in the coming months. We cling to the hope that there will be no need for another surgery.

Now, our hope turns to the small victories that must come day by day. We focus on every movement of the hand, every movement of the feet, every little sign of awakening and recovery. Every day, we pray for progress, however tiny, that will bring the light of hope into our worried hearts.
