Dearly beloved, I have not written to you for a long time about Nicholas's condition, the last events have demanded that all attention be paid to him. It was a very difficult time for us, a time when fate tried it over and over again. As I wrote last time after the operation, Nicholas's condition had worsened, fluid had been detected in his lungs, and he underwent repeated surgery. This is where Nicholas' nightmare and struggle began. Permanent fever due to fluid, great pain due to the intervention - a very difficult and long rehabilitation period. After recovering a little we were notified that three chemotherapy cures were coming. And when we thought that the nightmare was left behind, Nicholas started his first course of chemotherapy. From the start he reacted badly, fever, pain, and after 24 hours his condition had totally worsened. After several investigations it was found that the drainage was not properly fixed, and some of the treatment received within 24 hours went to the lungs. It was difficult, however, Niculaes' desire to return home is greater than any disease in the world. At the moment his condition is stable, and we pray to stay that way until the end.

Following several investigations, Niculaes was found with fluid in his lungs. Yesterday he was taken to the operating room to remove the fluid he had appeared, but after the intervention the fever rose again to 39 °. Today, he's going to go into the operating room over and over again...

The operation has successfully passed from discussions with the specialist. After a day in intensive care, Nicholas was transferred to the ward. He's currently having a fever and tomorrow he's going to be a board of directors by medical specialists to identify the cause. We need to be patient.

Today we come with wonderful news!! Tumors that had grown by 15 cm in Niculaes' liver decreased considerably, remaining only 4 cm. After so long the doctors finally announced that Nicholas was ready for surgery to remove the rest of the remaining tumor. Tomorrow, the little fighter will enter the operating room, tomorrow he is nearing the end of this fierce battle.

Every day has become a fight for you and her trophy is nothing but LIFE. My little dandelion, that's what you call yourself when you see your hairs falling on the mattress. You cry and ask me to do something to stop you falling... How can I tell you I'm powerless? How can I explain to you that destiny refuses to go out with me to a duel? All I have left is through tears to smile at you and hide the sheet as soon as possible....

Knowing that your baby is sick is a huge pain. A unique pain that suffocates you from within, that deprives you of sleep, food and air. This pain is so restall when you know he can be saved but... the amount is far too high than we could afford.
Whereas the world is struggling with "COVID-19" somewhere far away there is a special world... "World of Cancer-Sick Children."
We are admitted to the hospital where every day the children die, where every day the mothers cry out in pain as their echo spreads over the whole earth....

I was praying that everything would go well but on Friday, after he finished the drip, the boy started vomiting, there were pains in his belly and the pain medication was not working. On Saturday, 4 a.m. we were admitted to the emergency room with vomiting and unbearable pain in the right side. Niculaes sat under drips again that stopped his vomit and took away a little of his pain. This week the boy will be subjecttoes again and in their wake we will know how they will evaluate things further. I pray to the Lord to guard my little boy and give us strength to win this battle.
