With a heart full of hope and excited thoughts, I want to tell you about little Denis Nitu. At only 3 years old, Denis struggles with a unique diagnosis in Romania: Chediak Higashi syndrome. This is not only a medical challenge for him, but also a test of resilience for our entire family.
On Thursday, the 12th, we will head to the hospital for an essential neurological check-up and neuropsychiatry session. Unfortunately, due to the treatment and trauma he experienced, Denis developed an excessively aggressive behavior disorder. With each passing day, we strive to support, encourage and understand him, hoping that together we will find a way to heal.
We will keep you updated on Denis' progress and hope you have good thoughts and prayers by your side. We greatly appreciate the support and compassion you have shown us.

Denis: The little hero of hope
In the silence of the night, a small head of the hematology department tries to steal a few moments of childhood, opening the refrigerator door in search of a fine taste. He is Denis, a little boy whose smile and courage hide a hard struggle and a hope that knows no bounds.
In August 2021, Denis' world changed forever. He was diagnosed with Chediak Higashi syndrome, a rare and dangerous syndrome. Since then, his days have been divided between medical investigations and the hope of a cure. With an unwavering faith in the future, his parents, Nicu and Elena, decided to try a new path in Italy, at the Bambin Gesù Hospital in Rome. Here, Denis is seen not just as a patient, but as a little hero who can help science understand and combat his disease.
Through tears and a trembling voice, Elena, Denis' mother, shares: "Every day without my son at home is an eternity. The pain of seeing him suffer, of not being able to give him the childhood he wants, crushes me. But seeing his courage, the hope in his little eyes, makes me fight and believe every day that we will find a way."
Although the hospital in Rome has become his home, kindergarten and playground, Denis is not alone in this struggle. His father, Nicu, is a beacon in darkness to many other desperate parents, helping them find hope in Italy.
Now, we come with a request to you: this family, which, despite difficulties, remains a pillar of strength and generosity, needs our support. Although Denis receives free treatment, there are daily expenses and a necessary amount of 17,000 euros to provide everything necessary for Denis' fight.
