Dear ones,
With trembling hands, but with my soul flooded with gratitude, I write these lines to you. Today, my son's heart was repaired through an operation we hesitated to perform. Dr. explained to me the complications and risks that awaited us, and we were so close to saying "no". But deep down, we felt we had to trust, put our faith and hope in God.
And lo and behold, after moments of doubt and fear, I received the expected news: the surgery was a success. Although the situation was a little more delicate because the problem was in a dangerous area of the heart, close to a main artery, doctors managed to work miracles.
I feel like I will never be able to thank everyone who has been with us enough. Donors who offered not only money, but hope; the medical staff who did everything possible for my son's sake; family and friends who supported us with prayers and good thoughts.
With all my heart, thank you. Each of you has given us something more precious than anything in this world: faith that there is hope, endless love of others, and strength to overcome even the greatest obstacles.

Dear friends and supporters of "Save a heart" Association,
Today, we want to bring to your attention the story of Osman Kaplan, a 13-year-old who faces multiple medical challenges. Osman suffers from Atrial Septal Defect, kidney malformations, short bowel syndrome and Tethered Cord syndrome.
However, there is a ray of hope for Osman. Heart surgery has been scheduled for September 25, 2023, and if all goes according to plan, this step may be crucial to improving his quality of life.
We are proud to announce that, thanks to your generosity and support, Save a heart Association managed to pay the necessary amount for the intervention, amounting to 19840 euros, according to the attached payment order.
Our fight and Osman's fight continues, and we are grateful for every kind thought, donation or message of encouragement.

Dear ones,
Today I want to share with you the story of Osman Kaplan, a 13-year-old boy with a strong spirit and a smile that makes you believe in miracles. Osman's life was not easy at all. From the moment she was born, she struggled with Atrial Septal Defect, kidney malformations, short bowel syndrome and Tethered Cord syndrome. Every day for him was a battle, but despite all the challenges, he never gave up.
Today, however, was a magical day.
Thanks to the faith, hope and love in your hearts, we are close to raising the necessary amount for the surgery Osman will have at Istanbul Memorial Hospital. Each donation brought with it a drop of hope and a step closer to the dawn of a new beginning for this brave young man.
I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all the donors who gave and believed that, together, we can make a difference in Osman's life. There are no words that can express how grateful we are for your generosity and kindness.

It's not easy for me to write this, but I'm doing it for you, for your friends, for everyone who has contributed and is thinking about Kaplan. Many people have asked me how he feels, if he has been operated, if everything is going well. Even though I answered these questions in private, today I tried to choose my words to write to you all. I would have a lot to write and say, but I will only mention that he has not yet performed the surgery. Not long ago, Kaplan started dialysis due to kidney complications. This has turned all our plans upside down, and the total amount required for treatment has not yet been reached, as costs have increased considerably due to its complications. Kaplan feels better; he is a fighting boy and has great confidence in God and his strength, which means a lot to me as a parent. I know everything will be fine, God has great plans for him, but until then we will have to overcome these obstacles we face.

The story of little Osman
If we went far back in time and believed in bears, surely for Osman Kaplan they would prophesy nothing but trouble. The boy we are talking about was born prematurely with multiple health problems. She weighed less than 2 kilograms when she was born, although the pregnancy was normal until then.
Doctors diagnosed him, among other things, with a life-threatening heart defect now, 13 years later. It's called an atrial septal defect (DSA) and it's basically a hole in the heart.
Osman has already gone through many surgeries that helped him survive, but he still needs one on his heart to be able to breathe normally and have a healthy life.
We appeal to your kindness as we have to arrive at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital in Turkey for heart surgery, where he has already had his first visit. It is financially impossible for me to pay for the intervention, considering that I support my 5 children from a hair-stylist salary of 4,000 lei per month, plus their allowances, and the surgery costs € 20,000, says Osman's mother, Baran Nevenka.
It's hard to imagine how a woman manages to put food on the table for 6 souls, nowadays, from a single income, let alone pay medical bills in the order of tens of thousands of euros! Sometimes life puts you in impossible situations, but that doesn't mean you can give up. A mother moves forward for her children no matter what, and people's solidarity can work real miracles!
