A few dozen minutes ago, Patrick Stanculeanu's bilateral cochlear implant surgery was successfully completed! On the evening news (Antena 1, Prima tv, Kanal D, Digi24 etc.) you will also find out what national premiere is talkingI am very glad that we managed to be part of this success. I thank Catalina and Adriana from the Always Close Foundation, who accepted her case and broadcast it on TV, helping Patrick with an SMS campaign from which the money needed for an implant was withtaken. I particularly thank Marian Ciubotaru and Martin Sonke, who have also made a decisive contribution to this operation. Thanks and congratulations to the team of doctors at Marie Curie Hospital and all those involved in this charitable project, both those who donate photos and those who buy them!

We'll let you know that there's been a hold of the 2nd cochlear implant. Patrick will have two implants and he'll be able to hear vb like any other child.. . Thank you to those who helped us, either with advice, encouragement or money.
Today we checked in. I did tests and tomorrow morning the surgery will take place, the day I've been waiting for the most!

Story

Patrick's three years old and his world is still too poor. She was born prematurely, a month earlier than she should have. He didn't show any sign of it. He was in intensive care for another month so his lungs would get big enough to breathe without help. He got home and started growing. It wasn't easy either, and the frequent colds and respiratory infections were bringing him to visit the hospital more and more often. At one year he started walking, great happiness for his parents. Then there were a few months that everyone was waiting for him to say at least "mom" for starters. Time kept running out, but Patrick didn't show any sign of wanting to say anything. So his mother started doing investigations of all kinds. The last and hardest to do under total sedation was the test that would confirm the doctors' suspicion. Patrick didn't talk because he couldn't hear anything. The diagnosis he received was bilateral hearing-hearing. A terrible and tearful moment for his parents. Unbridled pain and dread. Since then, the kid has been on the waiting list to get a free cochlear implant, the second one has to buy the parents. Since then he's been waiting... time is running out, Patrick's growing, and his recovery is going to get harder and harder. Even the 25,000 euros could not be collected by his parents. So the cub still lives in a world without sounds, hasn't heard the mother's voice before and the chances of the speech talk to him. His mother's only wish is to see Patrick speak, that she hears she's becoming the normal child she wanted. We can be his guardian angels. We can help him grow normally, not go to awith hearing impairments. We can help him tell his mother and hear his parents' comfort.
