David's story

One of the greatest joys for a parent is to hold their child in their arms. It's hard to describe in words the moment he raises his hands to show you that he wants to stand at your chest, where he feels perfectly safe and loving. However, you do not have the same feeling when your little one has to be taken in his arms out of a medical need, because he alone cannot move.

David is 4 years old already and can't walk. The fifth child of the Lingurar family was born with Varus Equin, that is, both legs are crooked, which prevents him from being able to walk normally.

He takes a few steps, treading crookedly, twisted, his fingers are curved inwards and most of the time he falls, says the boy's mother, Maria Lingurar.

A year after his diagnosis, his parents went with him to Cluj to be operated on. Both surgeries he underwent failed, and with the increase in age the condition worsened.

After two years of searching, God opened a door for us. I heard of a private clinic in Turkey, Emsey Hospital. We got in touch with the doctors there and they told us that our child's disease can be solved, but the operation and treatments cost 25,000 euros for both feet, a very large amount for us. Like any parent, we want our child to be able to enjoy a beautiful childhood, so please be with David, wrote us and the father of the little boy, Cosmin Lingurar.

Cosmin and Maria live from an income that rarely reaches 4,000 lei monthly, of which they and the five children aged between 7 and 12 years support each other. Therefore, in their case, 25,000 euros seems like an astronomical amount. But for a community of good people, such as you, the friends of the Save a Heart Association, this amount can be easily raised through various donations. Little means nothing, any donation counts and can save a life! In a world that values quantity and demands more and more, we are often tempted to believe that if we can't give much, it doesn't matter. On the contrary, true miracles are always done with the little offered with a fond heart. Donate for David too and help him walk on his own feet!
