Following the discussions we had today at Clinca Regina Maria, we will not know at the moment with exactacity the costs for the period of hospitalization that Antonie will stay. We don't even know the period that will be given to him the treatment and it's up to his body how he responds to this treatment. We are forced to raise the amount to EUR 25000 with the hope that this amount will cover the costs of hospitalizations and treatment.

20,000 EUROS IN JUST 72 HOURS

In the 10 minutes in which we transmitted Antonie's story and the suffering of the mother, we updated three times the amount in the post with the one on the site because there were many people who donated and implicitly the amount was also increasing due to our real-time donation platform.

So far, the Save a Heart Association has paid 15,000 RON to bring Antonie back into his mother's arms and home to grow up beautifully with the love of his parents.
Next week we will also pay the next invoices issued for Antonie.

 Antonie's story

My mother risked her own life to give me life. Only God by His miracle made us both together today, but I live only because of modern medicine, and my time is running out...

That's what Antonie Pogoneanu, a baby of not even a month old, would tell us if he could talk. His parents - Ramona and Denis - wanted him fervently and were about to lose him because of the health problems with which the little one came into the world.

Congenital pneumonia and severe pulmonary hypertension are conditions behind which there is a strong infection that does not allow the baby to breathe normally. That's how he ended up depending on the machines and needing a very expensive treatment that the family can't afford to provide. It's about 20,000 euros, an enormous amount for two simple young people at the beginning of the road.

We firmly believe that anything is possible if there is love between people, so we ask you with bitter sighs to help us get our son out of the hospital alive and healthy, for you are now his chance, Antonie's parents wrote to us.

A horticultural engineer and a harp teacher are today asking for our help to save their only child, much-desired and enormously much loved. The story of the 25- and 29-year-olds can continue with the joy of being all together, healthy, but for this we must be with them.

Any donation made to the accounts of the "Save a Heart" Association will give Antonie the strength to overcome the first crisis of his life, the first obstacle that is difficult to overcome. Our support will remain a reminder to this child that the power of loving one's neighbor can overcome any shortcoming!
