Cristina's story
Cristina, a girl of almost 9 years old, is a student in the second grade, at a school in Braila. She is a hearty, docile, ambitious child who wants to be at school every day, in the midst of her classmates. This is no longer possible for several months, due to health problems that have worsened, her condition gradually deteriorating. Her name is Mirror Marinela-Cristina and she is born on February 26, 2014, being a student of the Secondary School "Al. I. Cuza", Braila. The baby was born with a heart malformation, discovered at the age of one year and two months. Then she was admitted to the Braila County Hospital for what seemed to be just a cold, but after several investigations, she was discovered that heart problem.
Other investigations followed in Galați, Bucharest and Tg. Mureș, all leading to the conclusion that there was a need for heart surgery, but which was not possible at that time, the child being too young. Until about two years ago, the little girl led an almost normal life. From that moment on, the disease began to give certain signs, at first rarely and discreetly, then more and more often and more aggressively. He often arrived at the U.P.U. due to the general malaise: abdominal pain, vomiting, heart pain, fatigue. There were periods of temporary improvement, during which he was undergoing treatment and remaining at rest. When she returned to school, she was not allowed to make any effort, which always deprived her of a child's greatest pleasure at this age, the game. In the last two months, the girl's condition worsened, the doctors found that other organs were affected, and the saving solution is heart surgery.
Cristina could not carry out any activity, could not come to school, could not eat very little, due to the general malaise, which was increasing with each passing day. Currently, Cristina, accompanied by her mother, is hospitalized at Medipol Mega University Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey. The little girl arrived there with the help of the parents of her colleagues from her school and of the faithful from the Parish "Saints 40 Martyrs", led by Father Vanghele Adrian, who contributed various amounts of money to facilitate her access to another medical system. The parish priest took all the necessary steps for the little girl to get there. The doctors there did the first investigations, and the conclusion was that there was an urgent need to be operated on.
The cost of the operation is 16000 euros, to which is added 4000 euros for investigations other than those already made. The girl has in her patient account 4000 euros, out of those raised at school. Cristina's surgery is absolutely necessary and urgent, which would help her lead a normal life and would also solve the problems that appeared in the other organs. Although vital for the little girl, her costs totally exceed her financial possibilities. The amount it holds from the goodwill of the people in the community is insufficient, and the family is unable to cover the cost of the intervention.
He comes from a family of a mother and four children, with a precarious material situation. My mother, Milea Mihaela, 36, is the sole breadwinner of the family. He worked as a caretaker in a nursing home, until the girl's condition worsened and she imposed permanent supervision. At the moment they do not work, which makes the situation of the whole family even more difficult. The parents are divorced, and the father, Mirror Eugene, 41, is away in England, where he works as a cook's aide. Cristina will remain hospitalized in Medipol, where in the next period she will be ready for surgery, if the necessary amount of money comes from the country as soon as possible, through the goodwill of other and other people who will resonate with the suffering of this child. Only the generosity of those around you and the desire to help can save Cristina!
