Hello, beautiful souls!

I want to share with you the fact that Alexandra is going through a better period, even if we have less good days, specific to the disease she is facing. Fatigue and nervous tension, mostly due to vision problems, are present, but together we find the strength to move forward.

The good news is that Alexandra started going to kindergarten for four hours a day. It is an adaptation process in which she tries to keep up with the other children, even if it is somewhat more difficult for her due to the problem with her eyesight. There are times when he needs constant supervision, in order to navigate more easily in space and orient himself correctly.

However, hope never leaves us. We have faith that, by God's grace, we will find a treatment in the future that will improve his vision.

It is a difficult road, and sometimes we feel overwhelmed by the weight of the situation. But we are convinced that God sustains us and gives us the strength to move forward, keeping hope for a better future.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart to all those who have been and are with us. Know that every good thought, every wish, lifts our spirits and gives us strength to fight on. May God bless you with health and keep a smile on your face.

Alexandra Rusu is now in hospital in Turkey. Today tests were taken and he was given a cannula to administer anesthesia. A follow-up MRI will follow. 

We have been going through a difficult period for a year and a half because of a tumor that has affected his vision. I want to tell you that Alexandra is relatively well, but some time ago she had a week with permanent symptoms of vomiting, especially in the morning. We contacted the doctor in Turkey who took care of her last time and recommended treatment for a week and it was OK. For us it is a cause for concern and we can't wait to go to the check-up, to find out how the treatment evolved. 

We hope that the tumor is gone and will no longer affect his vision! For these investigations we will again need your help because the costs far exceed our possibilities.

Hello! I went with Alexandra to the ophthalmological control in Bucharest and, unfortunately, the situation is not good, we did several investigations including the ENP (which diagnoses optic nerve pathology). The nerves are atrophied and nothing can be done about it. It is possible that he will recover only if he gets rid of the tumor. Unfortunately, glasses don't help her either. We hope that technology advances and somewhere in the world something else can be done!

Hello, dear people! I want to tell you that Alexandra is fine, but she also has a bad day. Tomorrow we will have an appointment for an ophthalmological examination in Bucharest, at a private clinic. They will do more eye investigations and tell us if any treatment can be done to improve vision. 

As you know, she has optic atrophy due to the 🥲 tumor and we do not yet know from a good specialist if there is any chance of improving vision. God help that there is something to be done in Alexandra's case too! We are looking forward to the check-up and MRI in Turkey to see the results.

Hello, wonderful people! We have been hospitalized since Tuesday because of the infection that came out of Alexandra's blood. Doctors said it was because of the catheter port he had put in his chest since last year, when he started chemotherapy. 

Surgery was required to remove it, which meant additional costs. They will give him antibiotic for 10 days, until Wednesday. Monday will be the last session of radiotherapy. We wait about 3 months then we will return to the control and MRI, then the next treatment decision will be made.

Unfortunately, today after radiotherapy, Alexandra began to feel very unwell, she also began to tremble very, very loudly, she was crying in one that she had colds, she was practically unrestrained!

They admitted us to the hospital because the very high blood infection came out, but the reason is not yet known! And she and we demoralized ourselves very much with the news that we needed hospitalization. The temperature has it very high and they are unable to bring it to normal.

We hope to finish well, to be able to return home quietly for the next 3 months, then we will return to the control and MRI and find out if the treatment has yielded results!

Hello! Today, Alexandra was at the 20th radiotherapy, she has many lesions on her scalp and portions that have run out of hair🥲😭! After today's therapy he woke up very quickly and began to tremble his whole body, I was very scared! They took his temperature, he had a fever! Hello! Today, Alexandra is at the 13th radiotherapy session, things are going well, she feels good and we hope that the final result will be a satisfactory one. I had the medical check-up at the end of last week and I asked if Alexandra could still regain her sight if the lesions and the tumor disappeared and the doctor told me that it was not possible because the optic nerves are already affected and a lot of time has been lost with chemotherapy which, unfortunately, it did not yield results. 

We are moving forward with God in the hope that one day we will also find solutions to improve Alexandra's vision (now, following the ophthalmological consultation, I was told that she sees about 30%). We thank the good God that through constant support Alexandra is able to cope.

Today I went to the hospital for the radiological consultation and MRI. Alexandra was very scared of the sting for the branula, we barely managed to calm her down!

I am the mother of the little girl Alexandra Rusu and I want to thank you with all my heart for everything you have done for my child, I do not have enough words of praise and thanks!

He finished the treatment, but the situation is not so good... The tumor did not shrink, it was just kept under control. Doctors say it's OK, that she hasn't grown up, but Alexandra loses her sight every day... I'm destroyed because of it!

Now another treatment scheme has been proposed that costs €98,000, over a year. We are desperate as parents, we do not know what to do, where to go!

Alexandra Rusu did the MRI at the end of the treatment protocol. The tumor is kept under control, but we are also waiting for the consultation of the ophthalmologist oncologist because it seems that the girl's vision is increasingly affected. 

Once we have the result from ophthalmology, an oncological council will be made in view of a new treatment or monitoring plan.

Alexandra has finished the treatment and all is well. It will then return to the regular check-ups recommended by specialist doctors.
