Together for Maria Karina – A chance at a pain-free childhood

Maria Karina Tanasa is only 13 years old, but the fight she is fighting is a huge one. He suffers from severe scoliosis and hip dysplasia, a condition that affects his childhood and limits his movements, turning every day into a challenge. In order for her to be able to walk without pain and have a normal life, 45,000 euros are needed, the amount necessary for the specialized intervention at LIV Hospital.

In this battle, Maria is not alone. SOCAR Romania came to her support with a donation of 2,000 euros, proving that, beyond a strong brand, it is a company that supports the community and people who need help.

Karina Maria is a little girl who, at just 13 years old, has experienced more suffering than many of us in a lifetime. Born with serious problems due to lack of oxygen at birth, Karina found herself caught up in a fight she didn't choose. From her earliest days of life, she faced huge medical challenges, and her family had to deal with a devastating diagnosis: spastic tetraparesis and epilepsy. As the years passed, things got even more complicated. Her hips were affected, and her spine became deformed, making every movement a continuous pain.

Karina's life was a succession of treatments, surgeries and therapies, all in an attempt to give her a chance at a somewhat normal life. But despite all efforts, Karina is now at a crossroads: without urgent surgery, her condition risks deteriorating even more. It is a critical moment, and each day that passes without this intervention reduces her chance of having a less tormented childhood.

Karina's family did everything in their power. The mother, completely dedicated to her care, is a personal assistant, and the father works hard in agriculture. But their income cannot cover the enormous costs of the necessary treatment. In the face of these realities, we appeal to the solidarity of the community. Every donation, every gesture of support, means more than money – it means hope. Hope for a child who deserves to know more than pain, who deserves to smile, to enjoy a childhood without suffering.

Today, her only chance is treatment at LIV HOSPITAL in Turkey. The costs are far beyond our powers, but hope never dies. Every gesture of support, every donation is a ray of light for Mary's future. I pray every day that we can reach the necessary amount and give him the chance to live as close to normality as possible.
