Today marks one month since Teodor's surgery, an operation that would not have been possible without your help, for which I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life. 🙏🙏🙏

Today's ENT consultation, with fibroscopy performed by Dr. Mocanu Bogdan, confirms that Teodor is recovering very well and that he must continue to comply with the postoperative restrictions, avoiding any physical effort.

We also performed all the blood tests, which showed excellent results, according to Dr. Gherlan Iuliana, who continuously adapts the hormonal medication. On October 23, three months after the operation, we will resume the ENT, ophthalmological and MRI consultations.

At the moment, Teodor follows a very rigorous medication regimen, with 7 doses of medication administered at different times throughout the day. Memory returns gradually, with visible steps, but postoperative fatigue still makes its presence felt.

During this period, Teodor gained 8 kg. 🍢🍠

I thank again the entire team at Monza Hospital (Dr. Stoica Sergiu, B. Mocanu, A. Vișan, etc.) and endocrinologist Dr. Iuliana Gherlan for their professionalism, team spirit and for the fact that they were chosen by God in His work, contributing to the success of Teodor's surgery.

Today, July 29, I arrived home with Teodor. According to the diagnosis in the discharge note, he is: "surgically cured".

Teodor always sleeps because he gets tired from any effort (including when he eats). He continues to forget the actions that happened in the last week (after July 22 he only remembers with exercises).

Tests follow tomorrow, Friday and in 2 weeks. We have ENT and endocrinological consultations scheduled in 2 weeks. In 3 months we will resume the MRI, ophthalmological and neurosurgical consultations (Dr. S. Stoica).

During this time, we follow the treatment with hydrocortisone, Euthyrox and Minirin (daily I report the amount of fluids consumed and urinary emissions according to a schedule). He is not allowed to bend over, blow his nose hard, lift weights, without light/medium physical exertion, without cold or fizzy drinks.

I am writing to you with a heart full of emotion and gratitude. Teodor is now in a state of constant rest, sleeping almost all day. We wake him up only to eat and for the necessary treatments. Despite the difficulties, today we had good news: his memory is starting to return. He answered all Dr. Stoica's questions correctly, which is a positive sign.

His treatment is carefully monitored through continuous analysis and is always tailored to his needs. Unfortunately, due to the need for this careful monitoring, we will remain hospitalized until Monday. Dr. Mocanu (ENT) consulted him using a camera and is satisfied with the appearance of the operated area. She explained again the risks of exertion – even sneezing can put pressure and open the area that was operated on.

We bring you news from Teodor Valentin Stefan, an 11-year-old boy who bravely went through a complex surgery. After about 3 hours of delicate surgery at the Monza Hospital in Bucharest, Teodor is now resting in reserve and, although he is very thirsty, this sign is a positive indicator that the operation was successful.

It was a particularly difficult operation, because the selar tumor was located in the middle of the skull, between the two cerebral hemispheres. The medical team, professionally led by Dr. Stoica Sergiu, together with Dr. B Mocanu and Dr. Vișan managed to remove the tumor without resorting to cranial incisions, thus reducing the risks and protecting Teodor's brain.

Following the removal of the tumor, the pituitary gland was taken out of position, which means that Teodor will have to take diabetes insipidus pills for the rest of his life. However, there were no complications or bleeding during the intervention, and the medical team worked with meticulousness and extreme care through the nasal opening, thus avoiding additional risks.

In two weeks, we will resume the analyzes to monitor the new changes and the evolution of Teodor's health. We are deeply grateful for every good thought, every contribution and every support you have given us during this difficult time.
