Sara was in surgery yesterday. It lasted 8 hours and today, at 10:00,  he came to the salon.

We managed to collect the pennies (18,000 euros) for the surgery through donations from people with a big soul, we thank you from the heart for your kindness.  We wish you a lot of  health and all the good.

The Save a Heart Association will pay for our intervention and everything else that is needed. The operation will be soon... we have great emotions....

Sarah's story

2023 is knocking on the door, and many of us - encouraged by a fashion coming from American culture - are beginning to set new plans, new goals, the so-called New Year's "resolutions".

The passage between years gives us the feeling of a new beginning, so we are often convinced that "now is the perfect time" to start over again professionally or personally. "To take better care of myself, to pay attention to what I eat, to start exercising, to leave cigarettes and to be more near my loved ones" are just some of the things we promise to do on New Year's Eve.

For others, instead, the only resolution when passing between years is to see their child healthy. Ilona and Ionuț Velnita do not want anything other than for their daughter to be able to be operated on and to have a normal childhood and life.

Sara was born with lumbar hemivertebra, an extremely rare congenital malformation in the spine that can cause her to paralyze if she does not undergo surgery as soon as possible.

When she was two years old, I came to dr. Alexandru Thiery who said that he could operate her in thecountry, l a Spitalul Monza from Bucharestand ti ti. I felt it was a divine sign, being a rare and complicated work! Sara, at the moment of herpresence, is2 years old and2 months old, she goes anddevelops like a normal child d ar a ="color:black">this vertebra and you createitwith the rest of the body, says the girl's mother, Ilona Velnita.

From the salary of a nurse and that of her husband, a driver by trade, you cannot raise € 15,000 in a short time, which is why the two 31-year-olds have turned to us, hoping that on New Year's Day they will live the greatest joy that two parents can have with the sick child - to see their daughter escaped from any danger.

Just like any holiday gift, the chance at a normal life for Sara can also be bought. Our New Year's resolution is to see Sara healthy and cheerful, enjoying life, free, without fear, with her parents! Together we can fulfill it!
