At no one's time, a little boy from Orsova is going through a terrible time. A deep pain is also in the soul of his parents, who cannot enjoy the gurgling, the antics or the first attempts of the son to utter the long-awaited words "mother" or "father". Emanuel Petrovich suffers from first-degree spinal amyotrophy (Werdnig-Hoffman disease). The condition, discovered at the age of four months, is manifested by atrophy of all muscles. Because of this, the baby cannot feed normally, but only through a gastric probe. Even to breathe needs help, and here we are talking about a special device that costs 11,000 euros. Currently, the parents rented the device at the "Louis Şurcanu" Hospital, where Emi spent most of his time, but can no longer cover the monthly bills. The father does not work, and the family lives on 1,000 lei a month. With the help of their grandparents, who borrowed wherever they could to prolong their grandson's life, the little boy's parents barely manage to survive from day to day. Grieving to the sky and powerless because of poverty, the two want only one thing: to be able to buy Emi the device that helps him breathe. In other words, they want to keep their child alive.
